Adriano Panatta: “I Put Jannik Sinner on the Same Level as Nadal, Djokovic, and Borg. Mentally, He’s the Strongest of Them All.”

As the controversy surrounding Jannik Sinner’s three-month suspension settled through an agreement with the World Anti-Doping Agency gradually fades, former world No. 4 and 1976 Roland-Garros champion Adriano Panatta didn’t hold back in praising his young compatriot, placing him among the sport’s all-time greats.

“Sinner is an absolute champion. He plays tennis perfectly. Mentally, he’s the strongest of them all. I put him on the same level as Nadal, Djokovic, and Borg. He will, without a doubt, leave his mark on tennis history.”

Panatta also dismissed any doubts regarding Sinner’s integrity.

“His suspension? There’s no doubt in my mind that Jannik is completely innocent. As I’ve said before, he’s the only one guilty without having committed the act. I don’t have much respect for WADA. Let’s just say my opinion of them isn’t exactly positive.”
